Martinez
I was born in Croatia in 1954 and came to Switzerland in 1975. Throughout my life, the encounter of and with people and the communication and sensation of feelings are my main topic. Either as a loving wife, mother of two children and grandmother of a granddaughter or in my profession as a practical psychologist and health therapist.
With today’s maturity as a person and as an artist, my art presents itself in all its diversity and completely value-free, in order to experience the interpretations and feelings of the viewers with joy and excitement.
Artistic work
The expression of feelings and sensations by means of artwork in various techniques has shaped my steadily growing work since I attended the Zurich Art School 37 years ago. Starting with charcoal and pencil drawings, my work has become more and more courageous and experimental as my personal development has progressed through the various phases of my life. This is reflected both in the use of colours and materials and in the work formats.
My works arise from spontaneous, emotional actions, yet I am always anxious to make them appear harmonious, beautiful and inspiring. I paint for the viewers and imagine what my art will trigger in them. The more different their reactions are, the more fulfilling my creative work.
Colourful diversity
In recent years, my works have also left two-dimensionality and moved on to objects and sculptures in plaster, concrete, metal and stone. My work has been presented to a wider audience in several successful exhibitions.
